Building on a 30 year legacy of providing need-based assistance for low-income children in Kansas City's urban core, the Bright Futures Fund continues to work to expand and adapt to best meet the needs of children in need. For the 2015-2016 school year, this fund provided more that $1 million in scholarships to support over 300 children at our two schools. Our students often come from challenging economic situations. The average household income for a family in our school is $16,000. Nonetheless, each family makes a financial contribution to their Bright Futures School.
"School should be a place to develop the whole child -- mind, body, and spirit -- where one grows learning how to live."
